The Clearwater 2wt is quickly becoming my favorite rod. At six feet long and capable breaking down to four pieces, it is compact, light weight, and the ultimate backpacking companion. The mid-fast action allows a delicate delivery for short casts, but does not forfeit power for those longer casts. Casting streamers is tough, but possible with a short leader. When searching for solitude in small mountain streams, this shorter rod is easily maneuvered through thick brush and awkward casting scenarios. Capable of throwing tight loops below overhanging branches, I find myself able to fish pools that a longer rod would not allow.
